restoring old engines to running condition
Question
My Lionel and Marx have been in “storage” for many years. I recently had occasion to move them into a little bet better organization during some tidying up. The question is: what’s the best way to ensure the parts move freely/. Motors, wheels etc.

From one Bill to another…The method I use is to carefully disassemble the loco, car, or whatever you need to restore and clean each part individually, then reassemble and oil the parts as you go. Use a fine oil and use it sparingly. You will have an easier time working in “O” gauge. I work in “N” scale most of the time I use a magnifier!
